Prosperity - The future prosperity of any society depends on it ability to foster the health and well-being of the next generation.  When a society invest wisely in children and families, the next generation will pay that back through a lifetime of productivity and responsible citizenship.

Ingenuity - Innovative communities have been able to design high quality programs for children.  These programs have solved problems in early childhood development and shown significant long-term improvements for children.

Vision Statement

The Investing Early Initiative of Manitowoc County's vision is to ensure that all of our children are safe, healthy and ready for school and the future.  To accomplish this multiple partners are collaborating and leveraging resources to:

• Reduce child abuse and neglect
• Improve child health
• Ensure optimal child development
• Strengthen families

This vision is being achieved through partnering with the local hospitals to offer services to families and children after birth, community agencies working together to provide a family teaming approach to services, utilizing local resources to offer county wide early developmental screening opportunities for children, and creating a prevention-based, coordinated System of Care for children and their families.
